"We got it to 100,000 capacity by the end of April, we're continuing to build that." Earlier his week, Matt Hancock announced anybody over the age of five with symptoms can get tested for the virus. The UK Department of Health says 35,341 people have died in hospitals, care homes and the wider community after testing positive for coronavirus in the UK, up by 545 from the day before. Eustice was joined by Prof Dame Angela McLean, the government’s deputy chief scientific adviser.
