This narrator is like a smooth Scottish whiskey poured into my ears. I am going to play this as I go to sleep, it is like a natural history lullaby for the insomniac.

I have seen comments calling this gentleman a presenter or a narrator, when he is in fact an archaeologist with a great crew behind him and he is indeed a great storyteller

2 minutes in and I believe I will watch this to the end. No CGI sabre tooths, no actors, just plain history, just what I want. BBC is where it's at when it comes to docus.

I am speechless: Not only is the subject interesting, but the entire way, and style of presentation is awe inspiring. This is an example of both professionalism, and creative presentation, that seems to reach out to seek new hights. There can be nothing more important, nor more fascinating than the study of ancient human migration, and customs; but Style of Presentation is a fascination and of importance on it's own. I am talking about the ariel shots, the camera work in general; the music, the pace, the sound quality, and rhythm! BBC must have amazing staff . . . Neil Oliver is a clearly a great presenter, and a great talent! A lot of work was put into this program, and leave you eager to see more of the same. Thank you all.

I live a couple of hours drive away from stonehenge and yet these videos are "unavailable in my country." Had to connect my vpn to America to watch them. Bit stupid no? Let us Brits enjoy our own history, because this is a great and interesting BBC documentary mini series.

Neil is profoundly into his subject and he never fails to connect himself emotionally and imaginatively to the past. His passion during his investigations and discoveries are contagious. He has a great style of presenting and summarising the significance of history leading us through history to see why it is important to understand. All that, plus a natural and unaffected Scottish accent that makes me feel right at home.
