He made the remarks at a press briefing in Berlin on Tuesday. Acknowledging differences between France and Germany over the plan in recent weeks, Maas expressed pleasure that the two sides had presented joint proposals on the concept. "I think it's also very good that Germany and France submitted this proposal together," he said. "We will now discuss the details with all member states of the EU, but we have actually agreed that we have to find a solution quickly," he added.
