Lol imagine Luke seeing this fight as they're escaping, he'd be shitting his pants in episode 5 when he confronts vader

The fact that Vader punches Kenobi several times makes this scene even more captivating. Instead of a typical fight scene where it's "Oh you left me to die so, here I am. Back to kill you", this edit makes the fight feel 100 times more personal. A scenario in which a former apprentice was unleashing his full rage on someone (not just any random, but someone who he had loved and deemed a brother to him) who in Vader's eyes, turned against him and instead of finishing him off on Mustafar, decided to let him burn and suffer.

That would have melted peoples minds in the 70’s.

I really like the attention to detail when it came down to Vader. His fighting style is replicated really well with added verocity. He doesn't do agile acrobatic strikes since his suit wont allow for that. Its more of powerful strikes/swings with the elbows inward during defense which allows for guarding his chestpiece. Nice things like this really make me appreciate videos like this

Nearly perfect remastered scene. This was epic. But I do disagree with one thing completely. They should not mention anikins name. If a person is watching star wars in order of release for the first time. It's a major clue drop. I'm okay with the chosen one remark though.

I think one of the biggest things I like about this particular lightsaber fight is that, although there are some flourishes, every single strike is aimed to hit the opponent, or set up for a hit to the opponent. There's no off-center swings, no pointless movements that would never hit. This is two people legitimately hell-bent on killing one another. That's the big thing that always killed it for me with so many of the lightsaber fights. I've done a few different things over the years that give me a decent outlook on fencing (HEMA was my primary however) and for me, I could always tell the stage combat from the real stuff.
